hey guys. I'm finally getting around to changing my oil on my ex. it's a 2000 if that matters, (compared to the newest ones) but where is my oil filter? and how much oil exactly does this quad take? everytime my oil's needed to be changed, i haven't been around, so my dads been doing it, but I need to know how much it takes so I don't have to sit there and check it every second, and where the oil filter is. thanks for any help. later,
ryan

The oil filter is on the right side of the engine integrated into the clutch cover. Look for a small circular cover with two bolts holding it on. Be careful not to overtighten these bolts when reinstalling since they can strip or snap easily ;)

A full oil change (draining crankcase, oil tank, and new oil filter) will take 1.95 quarts of oil. It won't take all of the oil initially so fill the oil tank full, run the quad for a few minutes, and then pour the remaining oil in.
