no way sorry to say this but the resale on 2 strokes is not good anymore

resale on dirtbikes sucks as it is, I like 2 stroke dirtbikes because they are simple to work on and god forbid the motor blow up on a thumper lol

I'd keep the thumper..

125's are fun because you can rev the piss out of them and flick them around...but you get on a long, rough track, last moto of the day, having to compete with four strokes with double your displacement....you want all the advantage you can get....trust me:p

well I figure it this way. i can prob get 3500 tops for my bike. he can prob get about 3200 tops for his bike. I have 500 bucks on top. the 250f is to much for me and its my first bike. I love riding my friends 2 strokes.

I say make the trade. Right now the bike you would be getting is slightly less in value, but you will make that up with the 500 dollars, and you like the feel of a 2 stroke better. Who cares if the resail will be less in a couple years on the 2 stroke, as long as your more happy with it. Personaly I like 2 stokes over 4, and I would make that trade in a second.

going for yes, selling no

The only 2 strokes that hold value are quads, Banshees, 250rs

riding a 125 vs the 250 thumpers is almost pointless anymore, I love the challenge of a 2 stroke and always shifting and everything, but a 4 stroke is very smooth almost easy to ride.

I dk if you guys realize this but the kx250f and rmz250 market is terrible for the 4 stroke market right now. People see that they had valve problems and such and its a big deal to them.

it is my firm belife that bikes should be 2 stroke. i love the challange, and when you get over confident the bike reminds you of the power it really has. plus im sorry my 250 has so much more punch then the new 450s dont get me wrong they are fast as heck.

If it makes you happy do it, make sure you are 100% sure that you want a 2 stroke bike though. They are pretty peppy and quick. Ride it around and see how you like it.
