1. 450R
Raptor
Banshee
250R (because the newest one is over 15 years old)

2. In stock trim:
450R
Raptor/Banshee (tctc)
250R

A pipe really wakes up 2 strokes, even more than a raptor.

3. Banshee
250R
Raptor
450R

4.250R
Raptor
450R
Banshee (easy to do, but you have twice as many cylinders)

5.250R
450R
Raptor
Banshee (still great in a straight line and dunes though)

6.Raptor
250R
450R
Banshee (unless on asphalt)

The hondas are concieved more as agile machines, while the raptor and banshee focus more on power than absolute handling performance. Your choice should be based upon your own desired uses and knowledge/ability to service or pay to service your machine.

I mostly trail ride myself. I have owned alot of quads & bikes and I am now riding an 06 raptor.

the 250r ! it weighs about 50 to 75 pounds less than all of those machines. It will outhandle all of them , its power is insane fun. I can wheelie mine goin in 6 gear

well, i can't sit back and let that statement be said without throwing out some disclaimers, so the 250r riders are not looked upon as dillusional. no 250r that hasnt had extreme work done, lowered the gearing, and shortened the swing arm is gunna wheelie in 6th gear. mine has stock gearing, and i have always been able to ride a wheelie whenever in 4th gear. however, i have never been able to ride a wheelie in 5th just poppin it up, i would have to have a lip or somn to get my front wheels up and then i could keep em up for a little bit, but by no means can i "ride a wheelie" in 5th... i apologize for my fellow 250r rider who may possibly be able to do it, however if so it is set up for a unique purpose...

all of these machine are fine for trails...........inclucing a banshee. But only one BEST fits the type of riding he describes. He already knows the answer to his question. Why else would he have posted in the raptor forum?

alright, if you are getting it up in 5th no problem, i'd love to hear under what circumstances...
1) location/terrain?
2) whats done to your engine
3) what gearing are you running?
4) what tires

on the road , 20 inch tires , compress front springs , nail it and jump backwards. I know guys that can ride them in 6th gear tho. On the road only , idk maybe your talking about loose ground .

i dont ride wheelies on the street too much.... i still say without altering the gearing there is no way that you are riding them in 5th. well, i'm not sure which year R you have either, cuz i beleive the 86 & 87 had lower 5th and 6th gears...??? but even then, i would have to be honest and say i'm on the skeptical unless you dropped it to a 12 tooth sprocket in the front...

who cares? This thread wasn't about who can pull the front tires off the ground in 5th gear. The 250R is a great machine..............but they have run their course.
