View Full Version : Tumbled down a hill at Budds Creek today

During practice at Budds for the all quad races, I went over Henry hill and there was about a 2 foot tall breaking bump waiting for me! I hit the bump which knocked me up on the hood when I hit another patch of bumps which finished me. I went tumbling end over end about 4 times for about 60 or 70 feet.:eek: I think I blacked out for a couple seconds. All I remember is hitting my head a couple times then getting back up. Im OK, just alittle scraps and im gonna be sore in the morning. My quad is a different story, My Quad Tech hood is busted up, bent my tie rod, broke both my ball joints on the left side and bent up my air scoops. Also some how my Kill Switch cord didnt come out but it is cut in half! Here are some pics of my hood

I will post some more pics in the morning when its light out. The bad part is that it was during practice!

hey man i saw ya there.. i saw that crash too, sorry to hear bout that.. i saw ur pit and i walked right past ya.. i was like damn that quad looks familiar.. i got a couple of pics of ya during practice...

Thats not me but it does look alot like my quad though. I think thats an A rider named Ian Smith. You should of stopped by for alittle bit. Are you going to Budds tomorrow? Im gonna be spectating.

my bad man i thought it was ur quad.. i did see ur quad though.. lol.. naw i cant make it tomrrow, i gotta go visit some relatives..

Thats cool. About a minute after I went down a white YFZ came tumbling down. He did the same thing I did.

Good Race guys. Duponster this is Blaster12408 incase you didn't know. I wish I lived closer to Budds Creek. I'm in fredericksburg about 40 Miles from VSP, and another couple of miles to budds.

duponster I will be at the track tomorow if you see a 450r #991 come up and say hi so I can thank you for the studs. Sorry to hear about the spill!

mxdads kid... how did he like the race.. i belive i saw you. i was wearing a nike sweatshirt since it was cold out. we were standing on the backside of the 1sttabletop.

XCAdam89: Have you been to VSP latley? Wish you could of made it. It was such a nice day, just a bit chilly.

I thought the VSP Series was over now? Do they have an 06' schedule up yet? I want to come and try a few of those, we should go down for a practice one day.

Honda5 remember when coming over tomarow that where 301 and 50 split it goes from 3 lanes to 1 :mad: Took me about an hour to get through there.

BTW nice to finaly put a face to a name see you guys tomarow down at budds!

Yeah there done for this season. I dont think they have the 06 schedule up yet.

Those hills are not something you want to fall down either. I remember dropping in on every hill with my butt to my grab bar. That sucks man, hope ya get better.

Yeah. The day my mom isnt there to tape had to of been today! Everybody that I talked to said I went for a ride. I was suprised I got up as fast as I did.

Which way did they have you going? Did you go the way the bikes went at the national or the way Henry went off Henry Hill? lol

The way Henry went off the hill. They change directions every year at the Maryland state championships.

the way it was last weekend, you had to get a pretty good jump off that hill and land right before where it was whooped out.

glad to see you made it out ok.


did they fix the small table top in the back, there was no landing to it?

They dont call that "Henry Hill" for nothing :( . I watched Doug break his back that day. Good luck man and wish you and your quad a speedy recovery.
