I want to buy a aftermarket clutch lever for my 400ex but I don't know which.

I like a lot the ASV,with the adjustable reach and the unbreakable design. The look great but I heared that we cannot put one on a electric start atv because of the black box (light, starter) on the handlebar :(.

I want a easy pull clutch (short one).

For now,I have a park block off and I removed the cable and my clutch lever and perch is stock !

What do you think?

Thanks

I put a Magura hydraulic clutch on my 400EX....WOW. I'll never have another quad without one. Best $200. I ever spent. Say good bye arm pump. My bro put an easy pull on his and it seamed to get stiffer, WTF?? WATCH OUT FOR THAT HOT EXHAUST PIPE WITH THE MAGURA THOUGH!!

If you have picture of clutch lever plz put it there.

Yeah, its pricy but you can't beat em. I don't think I have a pic.... Na I don't. If you are replacing the old one because it is too stiff, I'd buy a new cable too, they seem to wear out quickly. Oh and someone told me to use silicone to lube cables. It has worked well on my throttle cable so far.

Yes but there is really no point all it does is prohibit u from starting in gear if ur clutch is not puuled in thats its only function.

When you talk about the black box,You talk about the clutch switch that when the clutch is pulled in,the bike will start in first gear and if the clutch is not pulled,it can't start??

If this is that box that you talk,I know that I just need to tape the 2 wires together.

When I saw the black box words,I immediatly think about the black box where the start button is.That's why I don't understant it the first time.

Is that right??The black box that you talk about is the clutch switch that you can start the bike in first gear clutch pulled in??

Thanks alot

Sorry for my poor english :p

On the Black Box...To prevent any future electrical ghosts I simply used electrical tape to hold the switch down (wrap the tape tightly) then tucked it down where it can't be seen and zip tied to the frame. I have rewired a complete 1970 VW Beetle without a wiring harness. I hate trying to figure out electrical problems...I'll never do it again.
