are engine parts from a 95 300ex and 250x enterchangeable??? thank you for the help...

Most of the motor is the same. The sidecase is different because the X has a kicker.

thanks guys. the reason i was asking, is cause my honda dealer is telling me that none of it crosses over. i think mostly to make money on parts. i have a ported head that is for a 250x 300ex but they say it won't work...

I'm pretty sure the head is the same.

About half of the bottom end is not interchangable. Crank, Rod, etc...

PS - Most dealers don't know their butt from a hole in the ground. Our dealers around here don't even know what jetting is (100% honest). How sick is that.

the heads will swap, no doubt about it
