Those tires may hurt your acceleration for two reasons. They are 22's which are a top-end friendly tire, and they are very heavy so its going to require more torque from the motor to turn them as before. The stock front sprocket on a 2000 400EX is a 15 tooth so going to a 14 tooth should get some acceleration back and get it close to the stock ratio with the stock 20's out back.

As far as the E-series goes, I have no experience with them sorry, but I would suggest contacting them to find out what jetting specs they reccommend for that pipe. A new air filter isn't a must, but you will see a small improvement using a Uni or a K&N over the stock filter due to more airflow.

i just want to correct u on your tire size the HD's only come in 20-11-9 and 20-11-10 i know cus i have em. the stock tooth count is 15 front 38 rear. take your lid of and get a k&n filter it will breath alot better.

yes they r heavy, i would drop it to a 14. If u really want low end put a 13 on it that will really tear everything up.i thinkin i should drop a front tooth to for that purpose but im gonna wait untill i get a pipe first.i have the stock gearing and when i just give it a little throttle i can do roosters thats how well they hook up.
