looking for a large capacity tank

gas tank I am looking for like IMS or clarke I think that is the only large capacities made for the 400ex sorry I didn't put that there before

how do you like it and do you absolutley have to have a longers steering stem I heard that the trailtech clamps made the bars rise like 11/2 inch

i love it. with my motor sucking gas, its a must have. i have stock stem and cr low bends and i am fine.

well it sucks gas because it is a bigger bore, the higher comp, the port and polish, and 3 angled vavle job. if you are planning on doing a bigger bore and go with close to stock compression, you will still be buring more gas, but not as much as if it was a higher compression.

oh and how does urs keep up with a yfz or 450r

I have a IMS now but do not like how far it sticks up. I think Clarke would be better due to it using the side panels for space instead of just going larger on top. There is a seller on E-Bay that has Clarke's in any color for $184.99 as a buy now, you ahve to search under ebay stores.

i would go 416, it has good power and rev very quick. my 416 keeps up with a stock 450 no prob, except on the track that is alittle tougher but do-able.

I had a stock motor, and then i went to the 416, It was alot better, But then last year i pushed her out to the 426, and that has got to be the best motor kit i have felt in a 400ex. U had the quicker rev+ u had that extra tourque I would go 426.

Also about the tank, I have a IMS 4.3gall tank, and I used stock stem with Renthal bars and they worked just fine. Now i bought a set of Tag T2 atv bends with Factory 909 clamps and it clears just fine! The top of the stem is close to the tank but it wont hit unless you tweak your stem pretty good!
