so i've heard of people putting 250r front shocks on 400ex's and 450r's on 400ex's.. so would that mean that 450r front shocks would bolt right up to the 250r a-arms? and are they the same length?

i'm just wondering 'cause my front shocks are rusted to hell

450R shocks will raise the front of your Quad. Pricewise they have awesome "bang for the buck" appeal.

ic, how much do you think it will raise it? an inch? will 400ex shocks raise it any? i just really need some new shocks, and i've heard the 400ex and 450r ones are a lot better. thanks

When you put trx450r shocks on a 250r the rez are facing forward. Looks kinda lame, but great bang for the buck. You might be able to trim the radiator shrouds and make the rez face back?

450R shocks will fit a 250R but they will be too stiff. Plus they look bad with the reservoir pointing to the front. They are not good shocks, that is why there are so many selling on e-bay. I put a set on my 88 250r and I didn't like it, the front end sat way too high. Even with all 3 adjustments on the soft setting it rode stiff. Save your money and get a set of aftermarket shocks. I hope this helps you.

Here's a pic of my old setup with 450R shocks and +2+1 A-Arms sitting beside my friend's '05 Blaster with +2+1 A-Arms and Works shocks.

TRX250RJapan, how did you like the way it rode?

Would it be too pricey to get them revalved by a pro place? would it help if you had +1 arms?

I like the way they look - stock and they have the rez behind for protection.

I never actually used those shocks because I found a good deal on a set of Elka's and an Arens frame.
