What next for 300ex

I just put a Cobra headpipe and silecer on my girl's 300ex. Rejetted the carb and it runs great. Question is what next for more power. I'm thinking about an oil cooler kit for better reliability but what should I do for a considerable amount of power. I was thinking about the 32mm flatslide carb kit but don't know how it will work with an otherwise stock motor. How about a cam with stock motor? Do I have to change the valve springs too? Any suggestions?

Take off the cobra headpipe and get a FMF or White Brothers :D

Who rides the 300 more? you or your girl. I think what you have is plenty unless she is a power junkie, or if you ride it more than her.

well get a white brothers pro meg , a web cam , 32 mm flatside mikuni carb and a k & n filter and it should really wak up , just the pipe carb and filter made iot feel like a 250r just with a little less horse power and less speed according to atv sport

ok...250r's have like 40hp atleast and mine has more than that...300 have like 15 and i don't those mods could make it close to the 250r power if a 330 kit can't beat a 400 by alot..my r kills my 400 easy and i've rode a 300 and it's lacking power

look you guys i didnt say that the damned magazine said it so dont act like i am a dumbass , and they said it felt like it not that it had as much power sorry had to clear that up, they said the overall feel so it was like everything, look if you want the magazine i can give you the magazine date if i still have it, so you can order it

i'm with McgrathSucks on this on, my 300 & my 250 are REALLY REALLY different in power! My 250 will slaughter a 400, and my 300 cant even keep up with one! But the 300ex responds ALOT to a high compression piston!

#1. get the 11:1 from wiseco and run 92 & octane booster!
#2. get the rev-limiter taken out!
#3. cam
#4. 32 or 400ex carb!

1986trx250r is right i just installed a wiseco 11:1 piston,a web cam, and modified the rev limiter i'm still waiting for the new carb. but even with the oem carb the 300ex performance is very much improved and alot more fun to ride.

I wasn't knocking you man i just can't imagine the stupidity it takes to think that Irode a 1990 suzuki 250R (it had a pipe and filter) and it had Freeking BALLS bigtime i can't imagine a 300ex feeling like that!?!:confused:
