kazpr is correct

The HRC kit for the 06 includes the CRF cam.

so is the 05 HRC cam has got bigger profiles?? if it is a CRF then i'm sure 05 is bigger....so what's the 05 HRC cam like in a 06 trx?????

04-05 stock cam
valve lift
intake 8.55 mm
exhaust 7.3 mm

04-05 hrc cam
valve lift
intake 10.0 mm
exhaust 8.8 mm

06 stock cam
valve lift
intake 7.0 mm
exhaust 6.0 mm

06 hrc cam
vavle lift
intake 9.5 mm
exhaust 7.95 mm

I don't have the stock crf cam specs but this give you a comparison between the 04-06 atv

If it'll even work I wouldn't try it. It's not designed for it and that's a recipe for disaster.

I'd think it would work because well, basically its just the '06 CRF cam.....we've been putting '02-'04 CRF cams in the '04/'05 TRX since it was released. Know what I mean? I dont see how it would be that different that you couldnt drop it in....I mean, the Stage 2 HotCam I put in my '04 and the new one that I put in my '06 were for the CRF bike...not the TRX (which they are 1 in the same though).

Thats just putting together what I know....haha, which is very little, I could be dead wrong

The CRF cam isn't designed to be in an atv, but many run it. I think there should be no problem with it in the 06.

I bet it works great if you like your power near the top of the rpm range.

i think you have to use a cam from an 06 crf for the o6 trxs so i've heard cause the motor in the 06 it totally diffrent

why can you use a CRF cam in a 05 and not in a 06 then ??? as the CRF engine has'nt changed.....like you said the 06R is the same as the CRF........

I havent ridden it yet....havent had the time or the $$$ to go pick the quad up from JH Racing. It should rip. Right now I just have the cam, Sparks Big Core, Toyko Mods jet kit, and open airbox with the stock air filter. I also did the "wire mod" on the CDI to get the motor to rev to 10,800 RPMs.....

It should rip arse.....i'm gonna put the JE 13.5:1 CRF piston in it later on this winter along with some head work n' such. It'll be nice when its done
