need help

i got my axle bearing housing rebuild came in yesterday. so tonight i got the axle and bearing carrier out but i cant get the bearings out. i did this in the garage wich it was like 34 degrees out i got them sittin on the woodstove right now. i did a search but didnt find anything. i heard something on here about heating them up then freezing them or was it the other way around. thanks for all the help.

Heat up the carrier in the oven, this should get the bearings out, while you are doing this, freeze the new bearings out. let me know if you need more details.
