Im ready for some aftermarket suspension mods on my 250r and was wondering what I should go with for a-arms. +2 or +2+1? Whats the performance differences? The only thing keeping me from getting +2+1 a-arms is that I will have to get longer brake cables, so I wanted to know if its worth it or not.
Thanks,
Troy

Go with the +2+1. Almost every single MX racer in the country runs that on the 250r. Its worth it to by longer brake lines because they really increase stoping power.

Get the +2+1. My Brother has those and likes them. I agree just about all 250r Racers have the +2+1`s. You will like the Brake Lines too.

+2+1's are better, thats what I have, Cant remember all the good stuff bout em, there's info all over the 250r forum bout that kinda stuff.
What year is your R? The later year models came with +1 forward a-arms already.

Its an 86. Does anyone know a good place to buy brake lines that doesnt charge an arm and a leg?
Thanks,
Troy

we still run our stock brake lines on our R with Houser +2+1 a-arms and have a little slack yet. they havent gave us any problems yet!

what about rinning +2+1's with the 400EX. or are the +2's better for the 400Ex?

+2+1 a-arms moves the weight bias to the back tires. Basicly the opp. of adding length to swingarm which moves weight to the front. It all depends on what you like. I don't think I would like +2+1 on an EX cause it gets plenty of traction and is well balenced already.
