ok i have a few questions
how hard is it to mount a 350x engine in a 250x frame i know that you need a spacer and headers but i was woundering if i could make the spacer at home and get custom made headers
and would a 350x swinger fit on a 250x frame too if so how much longer is it

its very easy to do. you could make your own spacers but just make sure your chain lines up right. for the swinger it will work.

I think powroll makes a kit to put it in. They even make an exhaust that bolts right up with the kit. The kit, with exhaust is $550. Here's a link. http://www.powroll.com/P_HONDA_CONVERSIONKIT.htm

i am 99 perecent sure you can use a 400ex header and just need to bend it slightly

Use the $70 kit that doesn't have the exhaust.. and modify a 400ex header like Bradley said. I agree with him, it should fit up with minor fab work.

buy a 350x header pipe off ebay or local bike shop for cheap... take it to a muffler shop unless you have the proper tools and fit a pipe up for the header to the silencer... will fit around the fram and work!!

On a 350x trike the only thing you have to worry about is the motor but that collector tube dives into the motor pretty sharply. When fitted tho you gain 1/16" on the primaries and when bent right you open the door to a lot of slip-ons.

Primaries are the two tubes that first come out of the motor before they are collected into one.

Yes you can make the spacers yourself. thats what I did. the Powroll kit has you cutting the engine case. I choose not to do that. instead I relocated the frame mount. otherwise it bolt right up. As far as the exhaust I used a FMF 400ex header and extended the primary tubes, and for the back section I had to shorten it some but with the extra pieces and bends I was able to piece it to gether and have it line up to my 300ex pro circuit silencer. I can even put the stocker back on.
the swinger can be used. you need to add spacers. to make it fit. The one issue I did have was the bearing collar/sleeve for the 350x is discontinued so I bought a pivot works kit for a 300ex and shortened the collar to the 350x length problem solved. the swingarm is about 1.5 longer if I am not mistaken. now do you plan on using a 350x rear shock. I tried this method but found it was to harsh of a ride. and it used a smaller diameter bolt on the top. I later switched to a 01 raptor 660 rear shock. and I love it. also you can hook up the decomp but I never did. I think you need to change the bracket on the clutch cover to a XR350 or XR 500 bracket. can anyone verify that?

let me know if you have any?
