ITP C Series breaking?

I'm looking to buy a set of ITP C Series front rims. The guy that has them tolld me, honestly enough, that he took them off of his quad after 3 rides because he heard they break if you jump them. He said they are cast aluminum, not rolled, thus are not as strong at the hub. Anyone got any more info on this before i decide whether or not to buy them? Thanks...

i bought a set about a year ago and they had "not intended for racing" stamped on them...i don't race, but that told me that there were not made to stand up to any rough riding so i sold them

i think they r for mainly drag racing and lite riding but i could be wrong.
