Has anyone been out there during the holidays? I've heard horror stories about how crowded it can be, and being New Years I'm sure there is going to be a lot of drinking. Anyways I hope all of you that are also going out there to have fun and be safe!

wow, visalia and tulare... Im in porterville. My dad has a house in morro bay so I try to get to pismo as much as possible. But lately I have been doing most of my "nonlocal" riding in mojave, same drive time but ALOT less people...

Whats going on Skits? Where do you ride "locally"? I've heard Mojave is so much fun but I havent been there. Are there more dirt bikes than quads cause I heard some of the trails are narrow tight and more for dirt bikes. If you ever go let me know!

when i ride locally I ride around my buddies house. we have a track that sucks but its got a few jumps. we cruise around the river and canals and stuff like that. we can cover a good amount of ground in a day.

mojave does have some trails that Im not too happy on... but 95% of the time it is AWESOME riding. You can find areas where you can cruise at top speed for miles, theres areas where you can go all crazy with rocks, theres sandy river areas, theres places to hang out and jump and stuff, and there are TONS of hills to climb.

I guess I should clarify, the first 3 pics are of the jawbone area. The camper in the pic was our campground. the last pics are about 45 miles away in some little town we went to with a brewery. that big rock was an old indian hangout, lots of pics up on the walls. It was pretty cold(about 40s in the sun) but it was GREAT, we had a nice 95 mile ride on sunday...

and its only about 2.5hrs away, probably a tad shorter for you guys with the 99 right there. I have to take 65 to bakersfield which is a 2 lane the WHOLE way....

I need to talk to the wife and find out when we are going to the beach house again and Ill see if you guys are gonna be in pismo too. I just might be able to talk her into newyears, but I hate pismo when its packed...

Just saw pics of an endurance race or something in the December issue of ATV Sport and it was being held at Pismo... Looks like alot of fun i would enter just to ride the track they had setup!:macho :muscle:

last time i hear they also opened up 2 more poles. god, i hope that it's not so packed that we can't ride. that would suck...

A guy I know in fresno has been there since they opened more and he says it feels twice at big... I guess thats good, I always feel like I have covered all of pismo after about 2hrs or riding. Still fun but a small area. guess we will find out

We Had a change of Plans because of reservation issues ( we had none) so we are now heading to Mojave on the 6th & 7th of Jan. I havent been there so Im hyped about this trip. Im also going to order a set of Holeshot MXR4 size 19x10x10 from Rocky Mtn. ATV to replace the crappy stocks. My friends swear by these saying that the hookup is amazing, we'll see! Has anybody used these?

I was out at Pismo during the Endurance race they had. They opened up so much more land it is unbelievable!!! Its huge now!!!! I believe it was the weekend of October 22nd, 23rd! They have definately opened up more space!!

did they open the camping area up? or is it both the riding and the camping areas that were open?
