Honda shop wallet rape!

WOW... my wallet is about to get butt raped :( :( i threw a cam chain over the summer... and i finaly took it to the local honda shop cuz i didnt feel like talking it all the way to my engine builder... and i just called the honda shop... they said its over $600 in just parts and then probly another 200 n' something dollars on top of that... and i remebered i called my engine builder when it happened he could do it for about $300 parts and labor... wow... i should had just tookin it to im... its got to have new tensener, cam chain, and 4 valves put in it!!! :eek:

Yea the honda dealers not only are expensive but dont really know what they r talking about lol well atleast here in OHIO they dont well good luck.

ya... he was liek basicly the top end need a re-build... but the piston and rings are good... NO S**T there good you idiot... i didnt drop a valve i bent the dang thing...

the quad shops around me dont know much about quads. they called a stock 400ex a racer and its 2005

You got that right. The dealer near me sucks! They never have anything I need and I wouldn't let their mechanics fix my lawnmower. When I have ordered a part they never call to let me know it has come in. Not to mention their ridiculous prices.

It sucks that your dealer does'nt meet your expectations. I am fortunate the my local dealer, Belleville Honda has a great bunch of people working there. Mike, one of the parts guys, is great to deal with knows the products he sells.

i agree with the honda dealerships by me.. they all suck, it seems to be they all ride or repair streetbikes and knwo nothing about quads.. they have thought my yellow 05 400 is a 450r....did i mention the prices are RIDICULOUS!!!!

The only thing I pay for at a Honda dealer are oil filters and spark plugs. They aren't touching my quad!

ya! i think i'm going to go get it back... they called me today in school and was liek the top top end needs a rebuild piston and everything i'm like WTF! the piston is fine!

yea deff. get it back. the same exact thing happend to me and it dident cost even half of whut ther sayin, but i did it myself.

mine sucks too, i dont ever talk to them about quads, i usually take my boat in there cause there isnt a place to take your boat to and i dont no **** about the out boards, they cost 600 dollars for a tune up. GAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ya... i just called my engine builder... and he said that there is no need for a piston and it is imposible and he has never seen 4 valves bend at one time... he said the most you can bend by droping the cam chain is 2
