Vent Valve

I want to get a billet gas cap, and Tusk has some nice ones, for pretty cheap, but they all have that little vent valve, instead of the vent hose. Can you just pull this little valve off and connect the hose to it, cuz i just cant stand the looks of the stupid vent valve things that stick striaght up.

And wouldnt it cause gas to come out on a wheelie since it just points straight up like that?

I have a Tusk and the vent cap does leak gas!!!.......ive flipped and did wheelies and no problems:ermm: ....

The gas wont come out probably because there is a check valve in the cap some where.
