I need ideas for my 400ex HELPHELP

hey i got a yellow 400ex that i am going to redo for this comming spring. I wan to get some race cut plastic and i am going to paint my frame. i was just wandering if i could get some ideas on the color schemes and or what i should get to help it out. So if you have pics i want to see em

are you seting it up for cross country or trail riding or moto cross or what give us an I dea and are you on a budget

o yea i forgot that part i am going to start some hair scrambles next year and maybe race at a couple fairs because i want to find out which one i like best. if i like mx better i will definetly be lookin at a 450r but for now i am going to make do with what i have. For the budget i need an exhaust thinkin maybe hmf but not sure. I am kinda a tight ***** but nothing is cheap for wheelers and i know that but i would kinda like to keep it around $800. IF I get shocks i will just get used ones for now. the frame color is free for me becasue i got facilities that i am able to do that:devil:

I got my frame powder coated for 50$. GOOD powder coat too. stuff is thick, but for 50$ they missed a cupple spots that I had to touch up.

mite want to look into somthing like that.

elka rec series shocks I found some for 270 that where like new.
plastic- I have some fulbore coming in the mail for 190 used but mint.
stainless brakelines for the front. 10$ on ebay


I am a cheep *******, just keep your eyes open. I am on ebay from 1 - 3 hours a day looking at crap. good finds.

for color schemes, ask aobut someone photoshopping a pic of your quad and aska bout different colors and see what they come up with

a friend of mine has a yellow 400 and he painted everytning black frame, a arms, foot pegs and he painted his swing arm with rhino lining, looks sharp. for a pipe i would probly get ether a T-4 or a yoshimara i hear they are really good, I have a T-4 it gives me mosly midrange to higher RPM's and the yoshy is all round. For trail riding and cross country i would go for a hot cam stage 1.
