I'm going to go ahead and bite the bullet and get long travel suspension, including rear linkage. What's the best place to contact for this? I'm not made of money but I want good stuff. I'm leaning towards Elka or PEP. Depending on how much new costs I might wind up going with a rear rebuild and conversion to ZPS. Also, would it be a bad thing to run different brand front and rear?

I guess my big question is who should I contact to get some quotes?

Thanks to all!

you could get a jb racing or leager front end with pep front shocks from baldwin motorsports for around 1800 then have gt thunder or someone revalve your stocker with a link and spring for around 350 and you would have a pretty sweet setup. ive had elka's and pep shocks. and i prefer the pep's. they are cheaper and if you get them from baldwin he will give you any advise you need. the only problem is that it took two months to get my shocks from him but during the winter it may not take that long. and gt thunder will have your shock back to you in a week.

I ordered my last set of PEPs last Monday, and last Thursday Mark called me and had them done..How's 4 days for a PEP wait time?

PEPs for sure..Most people out there wont outride even 20 click ZPS, and for 895 the shocks cant be beat. Unless its Big Bottles if you think you need those. Mixxing and matching you will be able to tell a difference, especially when its PEP and another brand or stock rear, but if moneys tight then do what your gut tells you.

You could go with Derisi's new a-arms. They should be ready in about two to three weeks. He offers Elka or Custom Axis shocks. He also has a rear linkage and rear shock revalve to ZPS. His a-arms come in XC and MX width and have both camber and caster adjustments. Go to www.derisiracing.com for more info, or give him a call.

are you looking for a xc or mx front end? cause i have a lone star/PEP xc front end that i would sell. its about a month old and it has two races on it.

So the general consensus is to get PEP over Elka? Anyone know about how much more the big bottles run? I'm not made of money but I wanna do this right. Is it worth it to get a rear shock to match or just get linkage and the stocker redone?

I'm wanting to go +2 for MX. I'm thinking of going with ASR arms.

go to houser's site, order their "bike in a box", and be done with it.

I've got a stock rebuilt by GT thunder with linkage and it is very nice compared to stock. But I am running long travel Elka's up front and just can't seem to dial everything in. As soon as $$$$ comes my way a elka rear with the new pro linkage will be orderd.

The PEP ZPS 20 click are 895 retail

Big Bottle 8 click are 1075 retail

Big Bottle ARCs are 1650 retail

Dont get ASR arms..Do it once and do it right..Doesnt make any sense to get some of the best shocks on the market and go with a cheap set of arms..Save up and do it right, it will save you in the long run, whether its money, injury, or both.

All there is to be said....
Take a look at the "Recent Stuff" Page
Its proven stuff, ask any national rider about Tom's Arms and swingarms. Good luck!

All that we will say is that there are better setups out there such as houser, leager, Lonestar and many others.

I have some Houser LT w/elkas but if I were to do it again I would probably go with JD Performance. They have good quality a-arms and probably the best price, you can also have them pc'ed any color you want.

Is it worth the extra $ to get +3 arms over the +2? Does it make a big difference?

With the +3s you for sure have to run 4+1 front wheels.
