My dad has 22's on his 400 in the front, and my brother has 21's. For trail riding, what would be better? The 21's seem to be twitchier. My dad isn't very aggressive if that helps. Are there any advantages to 21's? I searched but I cannot find anything.

i have 22's on my 400, i like them but they look funny on it, too big for my taste and wish i had gone with 21's. it is all on what you like. i dont have any pics of it with 22's yet but will try and get one tonight.

What size tires are on the back? I would imagine that 21's might screw up the geometry a bit. I assume that they run 20 rear and 22 front from the factory for a reason. I was consulting a guy at Ronnie's recently and he suggested that my running 22's in the rear, that a lot of guys go to 23's in the front to keep the set up/geometry close. I know I would be hesitant to run 21's in the front. I guess I have more questions than you do. Food for thought and trial and error.LOL:rolleyes:

stock is 21's up front, 20's out back. i am running a taller 20" tire in the rear with the 22's up front. most people like a 1" difference between front and rear tires. such as MX=18's on back, 19's on front, stock=20's on rear, 21's up front, XC=22's out back, 23's on the front.

I have stock 22x7x10's on the front of my ex. They are the factory fronts. Check out the factory specs on the honda website:
