View Full Version : 88 crank i 86 bottom end
Just torn the top end off my 86 R and there's tranny oil in crank. I know i need seals, but if I need a crank will a 88 work in a 86? It would be 86 bottom end cases with 88 crank (long rod), spacer plate, 86 piston, 86 cylinder ? (right) Can the main seals be replaced with out splitting the cases? The left seal can right?

if you change the crank your better off buying new main bearings and seals for both sides. do it right the first time. not just one seal. yes a 88 crank will work.
thanks, beerock. Yea, I think doing both bearings and seals is a good idea.
