Please someone help...my 2000 trx 90 atv ran without oil...and siezed the piston on to rod (ouch)...fixing the original bottom end is not now an option (and I was quoted $1,200 by dealer) I bought a '95 bottom end and put it all together with my top end..(about 9 different times)...it started immediately but there is a "knocking/ticking" in the engine.....dealer says that '95 bottom end is different that 2000 and that the valves are hitting the piston? I have had double base gaskets...piston cut down...and everything else I know to try to get this back in working order......I need to find someone who actually KNOWs what they are talking about to help.
Do you know where I could send this to have it put back in working order...OR....do you know anyone who has a trx engine for sale....OR....any other suggestions....
Thanks...DD

i would just get rid of the old 90, cause the new ones have electrice start and now you wont have to hassle pull starting the old one, plus its eayser on the kids

I was led to believe (by my local dealer) that the 2000 and '95 parts were NOT interchangeable. Robb said that they are...I believe Robb. The inlet valve got bent while the dealer "worked" on the problem....Robb is assembling it correctly. Thanks, DD
