I was wondering arent the stock rears on a 400ex 9inch. If ya what dif what it make if u put a 10 or 8 inch rim on it.Also what is the lightest rims u can get all around on it.

The lightest rims you can get would be an 8 inch Hiper CF or douglas blue label .125".

Although and 8" rim is the lightest rim you can get, 10" wheel and tire combos are lighter than 8" wheel and tire combos.

The Hiper wheels will set you back about $200 per rim and are very strong.

The douglas blue label are the weakest/lightest rims available for ATVs.

9" Best all around. Lighter not necesarily better! Cheap light aluminum rims bend easily!
Hiper 9" the best rear set-up. Light and strong!
