30 is about the age that you second-guess hitting that big double. It don't hurt any worse than it used to, but it seems to take quite a bit longer to recover.

Oddly, you find almost as much joy tinkering on your motor as you do actual riding.

You start moving one way or the other on your suspension. It either becomes MORE important, for a softer ride, or LESS important, because you're just not hitting jumps and terrain as hard as you used to.

A couple sub sandwiches and a case of beer are NOT an option. If you're going out for a weekend of riding, you're taking steaks, salad, lasagna, fajitas, tacos, a FULL menu. You're also not content with just beer. Along with beer, you have Tequila, Vodka, Gin, Rum, Whiskey, and any mixer you can think to go with it. You're set for Pina Coladas, Margaritas, Tequila Sunrise, Long Island Iced Tea. Oddly, the menu becomes almost as important as the riding. I'm not sure why this is.
