just pulled engine apart , the jug on it was only making 160psi , seems to have a new piston (wiseco) but no rebore !:eek:
piston is 1.0 mm oversize in this one , how many bores left in it ?

2nd jug i have is ( alledgedly) a 265 . its all ported out for bottom /midrange and has a pro x piston , although a different design to the wiseco , that has a window on intake side .. however the pro x piston is 2.25 mm oversize according to my piston supplier machinist .. what does that make this bore size and what cc ?

whats stock bore ?

stock bore = 66mm
max bore = 69mm, or 270 cc

66mm = 246cc
67mm = 254cc
68mm = 261,5cc
69mm = 270cc


2,25mm over = 68,25mm or 263,4cc

my man reckons pro x wont do anymore than 2.25 over .. that right ? if so who do i use next . wiseco ? using 86 style + spacer ..

ya no company makes a piston (87-89) style over 68.25. they only make it for the 86 style. so yes, if you want a bigger piston than 68.25 you will have to go with the 86 style piston and use a spacer plate. Im using wiseco.

LOL and dont forget the 2 base gaskets. I DID AND NOW I CANT RIDE. WHAT WAS I THINKING!!

uptoo what size what size bore will the std head gasket fit ?? what then ?

standard head gaskets work on any bore u can put in a stock sleeve. wants u go to a big bore resleeve yur on yur own though. some peeple set them up for o-rings, im just running a cometic big bore gasket.
