View Full Version : Best way to get power

I bought this for 60 bucks, Need some imput on how to get it a little faster...

So far I have removed the baffle, spacers etc added a ton of lowend, I am running a open air filter and no limiter now..

Helped a bunch but I guess you could say once you start you cant stop..

I want it to go atleast 40mph it runs maybe 25-30 now..

Next years atvriders Rausch ride chad502ex better look out this little beast will show his R whos boss :devil: :p :o

ive had one of those..........a honda 110cc three wheeler motor fits in there perfectly. it went about 40 mph then i crashed it one drunken night.

well with the way I ride it I really dont know how long its going to last LOL

I flipped it backwards tonight going about 20? I let go of the gas leaned back and romped it and I didnt expect it to be that responsive :o

porting hardly does anything, my friend just did it on his yz250f and it didnt do much at all. And good job re-stating me

what motor is in it? go to a go-cart site, if it is a 5 horse briggs, i have seen those things but out over 14HP. i know a guy with a cam, carb and a shaved head for one from his go-cart days.

its a 49cc weed wacker/chain saw motor. 2 stroke.

If he ported it himself, I highly doubt he did it right.

He did it himself yea, but he didnt just go ahead and do it. First of all, the kid's dad is a mechanic or technician or somethin I forget. He did a ton of research on it too, and he didn't get any more top speed, but he did get power gains, not huge, but for free it's good. I meant to say it did nothing for top speed cause that's what he's asking about.

Oh yea, and he did it at our technical school, under the supervision of the teacher.

I'm just sitting here thinking, maybe the pipe set up I did is a bad idea..

I'm thinking no back pressure now?

Maybe if I did something like this it would work a little differnt? lol, the can is the expansion champer, lil pipe is silencer? :p

There's still back pressure, just less of it. Whether or not you keep it open should depend on where you want the power.

If your just looking for speed, try loosing or gaining a tooth or more on those sprokets.

ur away message said making a expansion chamber, im guessin it was for this. how did it turn out?

my guess is get this thing runnin on alky or 110 octane

He probably didnt adjust the carb to follow, because I have seen before and after port jobs done properly on a dyno and a significant increase.
