I know Ron Wood's stuff is pretty high rated for the Bombardier's, I doubt you would be unhappy with it, as far as their hp claims, seems exaggerated.

I will call Ron Woods and see what he has to say about the pipe.

I have seen one of those on a yfz before. The kid took it off after about 3 races and went back to Sparks. I dont know why he did, but it looked extremely bulky on there.

If your in the market for a awesome pipe and you like them loud, Sparks is the way to go;)

The head pipe on that beast is HUGE. it also has a reverse megacone. it does look super bulky but looks like it would produce alot of HP.

I run a sparks pipe on mine and i am totally satisfied with its performance I think the ron woods pipe WITH the intake kit will give a noticable difference from the sparks pipe, but i don't think the two vary that far apart without the intake kit

looks nice, but if i was you, id wait for the DASA pipe, its gonna be making some insane power :macho

I can't see any one pipe demolishing all the others on a dyno. All the top manufacturers pipes are going to be very close in performance. It all comes down to personal preference(ie. looks,sound,etc.).

I agree! If you are a pipe builder would you honestly say your pipe makes less than someone's elses??

This fourstroke pipe stuff makes me laugh..

The aftermarket pipe that does not fall apart after one year is the pipe to buy ! :macho

Woods pipes have a good following with the YFZ crowd as well as the Rotax. Both groups seem to love the topend pull. If it is as good as his engine packages it will be a contender for sure, not a bad price either.

I say buy it Hunts then you and Mike can compare it with a PC and possibly get a DAsa pipe for comparo to.

If you look at the pic it is a megaphone exhaust talk to woods today and they said it was @ 96 db too. That is awsome> I think even if it made a couple of hp less then what they say @ 96 db I think it would be worth it. Well worth it for drag racing and dune riding

thats very true..the MOST you can possibly see IMO is a 1 HP difference give or take a few decimals...most top of the line pipes, like Sparks, Rossier, HMF, TC, etc put out around the same power..some of the differences are barely noticible.

ya, very true, but the stepped headers are comming out now, and will blow everyone away, just like rossier did with their stepped header pipe, just wait for the DASA :macho

My buddy's stock everything but a sparks drop in cam and hmf piped 450r kept up with a Ron Woods full blown ds650.

The ds had all R.W's work done to it:

-big bore stroker kit 770 or so cc's

-his cam or cams (i dont know if its one or two in there)

-big valves and ported head

-monster 48 mil carb

-intake mods

-rotax pipe

and who knows what else....

well over $3000.00 in work to that ds650

The guy was VERY unhappy to see me (i was racing the trx450r) right at his back tire at the end of a nice long sand drag every time...approax 5 races. He was barley beating me.

So i ask, is Ron Woods all that bad @ss of a builder??

By the way, those ds's are just a big pile of metal!
