I've herd of people using a 40mm or 41mm wich is better on a race motor or is there much difference.

personally, i doubt youl see a difference, unless your on a dyno... i dont think its a difference that youll feel.

i have a used fcr 40 for sale thats ready to bolt on a 450r if your interested.

If you have engine mods, it really makes a world of difference in acceleration. I'm still getting mine dialed in but my first impressions are "h$ll yeah!" HP is my least favorable measurement of power, torque is what makes the difference between something that is a blast to ride or just a lot of work to get up to speed. As far as the 40 or 41mm, the 40 is more cost effective to aquire ($360 new at service honda, plus a $60 adapter) and probably unless you have a TT or really thirsty big bore, you probably won't notice. IMO

What bike was the carb made for(year). And do you have the adapter for it?

it was off of one of the Hondas, i dont exactly remember what it was from. it already has the adapter and has instructions with it on how to wire the TPS sensor properly. it also comes with the hotstart cable too.

the best FCR for the 450 is what they call the FCR 41mm MX, thats what i would go with if you have the money, you can purchase the kit directly from Sudco :macho

There are three different ones.

1. Carb only
2. Carb with hot start /air cut valve
3. Carb with hot start /air cut valve/ TPS

Im guessing I want #3.

right, i believe the MX version has other mods, but i may be wrong, you most def want #3 tho :macho
