Hi, im kinda new to this site and a little new at the sport and was wondering when i picked up my 95 300ex what was making a weird sound. I checked everything and couldn't find out what it was, Then when it was on my lift sitting at home i had it going and then heard it again. It was something in the tires, So i thought it might be some rocks but i thought nahh. Later i came on this site and seen something called "Tire Balls" i said thats proably what it is. Can someone tell me what the heck these things are?

i can almost GArrrunnteee that they are rocks in your tires.....its common, usually when sliding in a corner you can get a tiny pebble wedged through the bead of the tire and yet not loose a seal....."tireBalls" are fairly large in size and basicly look like airbags inside the tire so those woldnt make nay noise.....its rocks nothing to majorly worry about

just little rubber balls inside the tire, very common, nothing to worry about at all

haha, tire balls are just tubes that go in the tires to prevent flats, i can assure you its not tire balls making the sound:)

If they were tire balls, from what I understand, they are around $125-250 PER TIRE.

make sure it aint your carrier bearings i know if they go out they will make a terrible sound that sounds like rocks or whatever in the rearend...take your bike while the rearend is up in the air and see if you can move your axle up and down and see if there is play in the axle...if it is...your bearings are shot or are going out...

Sometimes they use a glue or sealent on the bead and when its still wet it will gather into little balls and eventualy harden
