What are the advantages of having an aftermarket steering stem? is it just because they are lighter. I herd that the stock is stronger then after matket? would it be worth buying for MX racing?

Stock ones are junk. By no means is a stock one stronger than an aftermarket. Lighter? Maybe, but I doubt it. Do you NEED one for racing? I wouldn't until you bend your stock one.

does anyone run a anti-virbration stem? and if you do are they worth it and what brand did you get? i think i'd like to get one but don't want to waste the money if they don't work.

My Brother has a Laeger Anti-Vibe Stem and likes it a lot better then the Stock Stem. He said you don`t feel near as much of the Vibrations and things going on. They are well worth it.
