raced my Predator today!!!

it kind of got boring.....

400yd drag, dirt.

I raced a Z400, Z440, Raptor, Banshee, & a 440ex

raced each individual because they were all there at different times and not at the drag strip the whole time.

1st race- Predator vs. Z400 - won easily by 4-5 bike lengths

2nd race- Predator vs. Z440 - this thing was quick, but beat it by 3-4 lengths approx.

3rd race- Predator vs. Banshee- I use to think banshee's were screamers.... till i got done and looked around and he was about 50yds off the start line...something on his quad broke....so this was the only banshee i raced today, so i dunno the outcome (well, i won by 100-150 bike lengths haha!)

4th race-Predator vs. 440ex - is this thing a joke? i had a closer race against the Z400....

5th race- Predator vs. Raptor - he had this thing suped up... beat him by 2-3 bike lengths... and before the race he laughed at my predator and said "i hope it dont break while we race" I showed him......

and last race of the day, right as i get to leave....i see a YFZ450 so i go and see if he wants to do a quick drag... he says sure...

LAST Race- Predator vs. YFZ450...he got me on the holeshot because i hesistated at the starting line....but beat him by 1-2 bike lengths...barely...i think he had a sparks pipe on it? not for sure if it was sparks or not

It was a good drag race day, alot of good machines there. Keep Ridin:devil:

Either your b/s'ing, or the other guys had no idea what they were doing!!!! My buddies got a Predator, and he only beats my 400ex by a couple of bike lengths. All I've got on mine is a slip on and jetted.

oh man do i have some words for you....i watched some vids last night.YFZ vs 450r.....up hill sand drag....450r one by a bike legnth .... now i own a predator and a 450r 450r flat out blow it off...videos are around to prove it.so i havd a post like this not to long ago.do the math.450r beat yf by bike legenth my 450r beats a pred byt a long shot.like i said you do the math...predators had their 5 min of fame.now its time they step donn..for a lighter more powerful couple of quads have dominated it

any quad can beat any quad.... it just depends on the riders skill... and as long as you can keep up with the pack... then thats good enough! i didnt meant to diminsh the uproar but im just telling you about the drag races i was apart of yesterday... and if there was a 450r there i would pry lose to it....hi caramaba take it easy

Hey Dill Pickle~~ As you know we also have a Predator and lit TEARS!:macho but...Ya gotta know that these kinds threads are gonna tick people off;) I think we have a good case of RIDER VS RIDER here... A Drag race is such a porr way to decide who has more power... any 440 that is dialed in can hang with a Predator on a shorter drag ..A YFZ comes very close in fact, with our mods and a YFZ with equal mods somewhat equal rider vs rider will almost run neck to neck,I have to admit. the YFZ feels alot better to ride also...If I had the cash, I would be trading in my Honda and buying myself one But I love my Honda as well :)
Troy raced a 330 plus( I think it was a 350R) pulled our Predator by 3 bike lenghts:eek2: whcih was to be expected, also got beat by a YZ250 by a few bike lengths too... Not ashamed to admit it ,theres always going to be someone BIGGER and FASTER out there......I wish I had my own Web to show you of some good hilshoots and sand drag vids I have of some good riders tearin!!

Just remember that alot of it has to do with rider not alwyas the HP.......;)

Not to flame or anything, but i beat a stock predator on my cousins Kfx400 on the ice tho, but he had alot more studs. I guess it is quite alot rider. And that 440ex you raced must have been real crappy, becuz i seen a 440ex keep up with 2 banshees and my cr250. And i would tear your predator in half with my Cr250 anyday:macho :blah:

It might be true, he may have just met up with a bunch of crappy riders. I honestly outran a modded Z-400 on my Warrior a few weeks ago at the drag strip, but he apparently had no idea what he was doing. So it could have happened, but I still doubt it. :rolleyes:

we did some drags today about 200yrds rap with removed baffle, yfz removed with baffle, pred with hmf slip on and rath filter.

i lost to the yfz 3/3, lost to pred 3/3 it was really close with teh pred tho he just pulled by me tho, yfz vs pred, pred won 3/3

You folks all left out another VERY important factor: Rider weight. My buddy and I have identical Raptors, and we both weigh about the same, and the machines perform identical. We throw his 95 lb. kid on that thing, and it blows my doors off. HUGE difference, in takeoff, and pulling the hill.

now i know its the rider....i know im gonna get flamed for this on a honda site, but sorry the yfz's are a good bit faster than the trx450's, sorry thats just the way it is, the hondas are torque monsters, but the yfz revs MUCH quicker with its DOHC design

When my pred was just piped I could easily beat 400/440exs and Z-400/440s and Raptors were usually pretty close. It ran about even with a stock YFZ. Put a pipe on the YFZ and bye bye Pred.

i would like to thank you for the post i havent had anything good to read for a while as far as you winning all them races congrats it is truly the rider i race a buddy that has a kfx 700 and beat him all the time there is times he makes it close when i get bad starts that auto help alot he has pipes jets filter i own an 05 le pred it came with the pure polaris slip on thats all i have done to it
