For overall riding I pefer a quad, jumping and fmx I love bikes..

The only thing that sucks about bikes is, the value on them doesnt hold. I had a mint 2002 cr80 expert you could eat off it, and I couldnt give the darn thing away.. :(

I would reccomend a 2006 KX250F. They are very, very awesome. The 2006 CRF250R is a sweet bike, especially with the dual pipes. It does'nt make as big of a difference as they claim, though. It just seems a little snappier. The 06 YZ's are very, very sexy. They don't turn as well as the honda and kawi, though. The rm-z is essentually the same bike as last year, which isn't a bad thing. Really, you can't go wrong.

I wouldnt get a 2006 KXf or a RMZ cuzz there basically the same bike, and my local dealer i knwo really well got 2 06 kxf's and the engines went in them before they were even broken in

:eek2: Kawasaki and Suzuki went their seperate ways in 2006. The KXF and RMZ are no longer the same bike. If the engiunes went in the kawis before they were even broken it they were ethier messed up from the factory or the ones riding them were dumbasses. Probably the 2nd one.

thats funny cuz i actually think bikes are safer. and for the guy that said about the two blown kxf engines, it was probly from the owner not knowing how to break it in

i would not get the CRF250. i have always ben a honda man, but the CRF250's have many problems. i dont know about the 06's but the earlier ones have problems with sucking valves. where i work we have two in the shop right know with the same problem, the intake valves are pulling through the head, one only has 5 hours on it. Kibble white cannot keep up with the demand for the valves because everyone is replacing the stock valves with kibblewhites to help cure it.

another main reason i want a dirtbike is becuase i get the for really cheap and all my buddys race dirtbikes.... but i can hold my own plus there really fun and just makes me an overall better rider.

I broke more bones on dirtbikes then quads :o

Actually they know what they were doing with the 2 kawis/suzukis. They race in the CMRC, they were braken them in and they blew up. Im not acutally sure what happend or how they blew up but they knew what they were doing so obviously they either got 2 bad bikes or..... they are just plain crap, no offence to anyone that has them im just saying what the people are the dealer said.

Yes i wouldnt go with that either my friend bought 1 brand new broke it in road it normal valves went. Gives it to the dealer they fix it valves and other engine internals go wrong again. All with a tootal of 20 hours combined thats including the 1 before the valves wne the first time. SO get it but get a warranty on it or something.

my dad decided not to let me buy a YZ125 that i could have gotten for 1,300, man was i PISSED:mad: i was ready to sell my 300 and everything. Honestly its better to have both if you can, cuz when it snows its nice to have a quad, but other than that i like dirtbikes more all around. I had a YZ125 b4 my 300ex and man do i regret getting rid of that thing:(

I bought an 06 CRF250R about a month ago and have 25 hours on it and have had no problems with the valves. I check them frequently just to be safe but I love that bike so much. the stock suspension is so good. I'll be racing that thing next year and I will also be racing my yfz in neatv-mx. I strongly recomend a CRF to any one. Those problems with the KXF's are unfortunate, that bike looks pretty sweet. and it won the Racer X shoot out. That thing comes stock with 13:1 compression so I can see why that motor would be more delicate.
