I was looking for new front shocks and saw the fox float air shock for sale or do you think the elkas are better.

Go with with the elka.

The fox are good half an hour at a time. cause they leek.
You have to filled them again.
Cause since it's air in the shocks the air heats up and loose some of it's damping capability.
For one moto at a time it's not a problem but you would be really better with the elka.

A performance that wont fade even if you ride 3 hours.

Even the pro that ran Fox is switchin'

he he he!!!:D

It comes with an air pump that you hook up to the shocks. You pump them like pumping up a bicycle tire. Sounds like a pain if they indeed leak and need to be repumped every hour.
Stick with what's tried and true, I would go with Elka!

You definatly don't have to "pump them up every hour". This technology has been used for years on Mountainbikes. They are even a more durable design on the snowmobiles and ATV's.
The fox shox come standard on the 2006 Yamaha Apex RTX Snowmowbile. I don't think Yamaha would put them on one of their vehicles if the technology wasn't proven....
There is also the second air chamber on the EVOLs which allows you to adjust bottom out resistance, without affecting ride height. You don't have to fool around with three springs and fiddle with where they cross over etc, you just pressurize the chamber with a pump.

Also the air chamber has nothing to do with damping. The air chamber replaces your spring, there is a regular oil damper in the shock. When you add pressure you change the spring rate, not the damping. Basically instead of taking off springs and changing springs, you just pressurize the two chambers with a pump.

Natalie and Farr have been on them that's enough proof for me that they work.....I know Natalie is sponsered by them, but heck he won the championship on them!

As far as Elka's, I heard Doug and Jeremiah had no Elka internal parts in their shocks, what does this say about Elka??

i think 800 is for the cheeper fox flotes. the ones that the pros were racing with were like i think almost double that price
