I am re-building my 2001 400ex in about three weeks, we are making it a 416 but i dont know what all i need to do this...could somebody please explain exactly what i need to make this a succesfull build?

Minimum you'll need:
Repair manual
Piston w/ rings, wrist pin and clips (should come together in a kit)
Head gasket, tensioner gasket, header gaskets
Cylinder will need to be bored and honed

Suggested add-ons:
Air filter
Cam
Ported head
Carburator
Full exhaust

also crf450 cam chain while your there.
