The giants?...... the giants????....... are you kidding me????

they beat ARIZONA, SAN FRANCISCO, washington, denver, ST. lOUIS, and NEW ORLEANS. their is only 1 team in that hole group who is superbowl worthy. Not only will the giants lose their division but they will lose the wild card spot

I agree with most, Indy is a top contender right now for the superbowl... they are no longer a one sided team.

After last night's game anyone who thinks Indy isn't a serious contender is crazy. Peyton Manning is likely to go down as one of the best QB's ever. His decision-making, vision, etc. is amazing. Anyone watch him several weeks ago when they were away (I can't remember now who they were playing but I think it was their first MNF appearance) and the crowd was so loud that Peyton couldn't call the plays. He starts going behind every lineman and is pointing out their assignments!! How many QB's do that?

Peyton is a overated qb. I mean hes good but take away his offensive line hes junk.... Look at how ****ty he is if he has to scramble , pocket passers usally are never gonna be "great quaterbacks" becasue they cant think on the run. Look at troy aikman, everybody said he was the best ever. His line went to crap and he had like 6 concusions in 2 seasons. Same would happen with peyton.

I dont think the Colts make it, who have they played other than a beat up Pats team? They have not played Pittsburgh yet or I believe San Diego either if ther even do. Also remember any given sunday, I think the Colts lose 3 before its over and dont make it to the superbowl.

Giants wont make it either. Eli shows his inexperence in playoffs, Burress disappears in big games and they dont have the D to carry them through.

A Pittsburgh fan I am but they dont go either. Cowher blunders away another AFC championship game ala Pats 2 times Denver 1 time SD 1 time and barley beat the Colts to go 1 time and lose to Dallas. Cowher inability to make in game adjustments kills him in the playoffs and against good teams. Also you dont sit on a 10 point lead against a good team like the Pats and Im affraid the Colts in a couple weeks.

LMAO...take away any QB's line and they'd be in trouble. Pocket passers not good QB's?? How about Dan Marino and Joe Montana? None of them could scramble to save their lives yet they're 2 of the very best ever. How about QB's that could run? Vick, McNabb, McNair Cunningham...they were good QB's but they they would barely be ranked in the Top 20 (if they'd make it at all). Granted, their are a few excellent QB's who could run as well as throw (Young).

All I can say is that the AFC has alot of good teams right now and the NFC is a joke (can't believe I said that). I believe its Peyton's turn for a crack at the SB but I think he'll lose. So, he'll lose to the SKINS!!!:D :D

yeha at this point they should cut the NFC out of the superbowl and make it an AFC vs AFC superbowl. :blah: lol

i think the play offs are going to be better than the superbowl. The superbowl is also in detroit so i feel bad for the two teams that have to travel here. We have anice stadium but go down 5 blocks and you are in da hood

They didn't just beat a beat up Pats team, they beat the crap out of them. Made it look easy too, just like every other game this season. Don't get me wrong, their schedule hasn't been the strongest the first half of the season, but they are still the best team in the NFL. Can't deny it. I believe the Colts can make it to the SB, but not to say they can't blow it. They are pretty good at that and have proved it over the years. Still gotta go with the odds and MY TEAM. COLTS ALL THE WAY!!!!

Also, anyone who says Peyton is overrated is a moron or just a hater. Make a decent point if you're gonna try and talk smack about one of the proven best QB's in the league. Not: "He just stands in the pocket." That is what QB's do, then they throw passes. Look at Tom Brady, don't like him, but he is the best pocket QB in the league. And he also has 2 SB rings, if you forgot. So don't clown on pocket QB's, it's just ignorant.

ya thats a sad thing. The packers are SOO beat up this year, favre is trying everything to win but all he has to throw to is driver and they have been doubling up on him, chapman can catch but cant run routes right. Packers may be 1-7 but they arnt a push over team , they can put up a fight againest anybody, besides maybe indy. They put up a good fight again the panthers , bengels, steelers. O well next year is favre's last year so us packer fans can go into another 20 years of sucking before we are good agian.

I agree 100%. Dan Marino and Joe Montana we're 2 of the leagues greatest pocket QBs. (Actually, Montana graduated from the same high school I am attending now! But they asked him to come back and speak at our school, and he wanted paid to do it. Our school is broke as hell, so that didn't happen. :( )

I'd love for it to be Dallas v.s. Pittsburgh, but I think it will be Colts going undefeated this year, and the Superbowl being Colts v.s. Seattle or Washington. Pittsburgh still has a good shot though, and it's 'bout time we had another Superbowl win, but I think the Colts have to be favored in the AFC. For NFC, I'm saying either Seattle, Washington, or Atlanta.

Now I for my beloved Steelers. I really hope they can make it for the Bus to get that ring before he retires this year. How great would it be for the Bus to get it in his home town. But alas Cowher blunders yet another AFC championship game away. I think Pittsburgh can come out and blow denver off, if they come out firing Big Ben on 1st down but Cowher wont they will run up the gut on 1st down.

I can answer that, I blame pizz poor management and even worse owners that didnt give a ratts *** about anything but the immediate bottom line. Its taken Allen and Holmgren a long time to put this team together, sure. But show me one team in professional sports, that went from worst to first in three seasons or less.

I love how you seahawk fans make a prediction, then end it with 'nuff said. Give me a reason why you think that rather than 'nuff said. Let me guess - you dont have one.

How is Seattle going to stop our offense? Tell me... which game are WE bringing.... NO ONE knows.... we can pass and win, we can run and win. If you have been watching any of the Steelers games, you can clearly see the defenses have NO clue what to expect from us. NO team can cover both successfully. As for our defense, we played some of the BEST offensive teams in the NFL to get to where we are. Take note - WE SHUT THEM DOWN and made the quarterbacks wonder WTF just happened.

Look at Jake "the mistake" Plummer who was known as one of the BEST underrated quarterbacks. In the 3rd and 4th quarter he had no idea what was going on... Look at the great Manning, if you saw that game, it speaks for itself!

Now someone tell me that the Seahawks is a better team than Indy or Denver? That would be funny!

The NFC is weak compared to the AFC. That is fact. The Steelers had a MUCH, MUCH harder road to get to the Superbowl and you can be sure they are NOT letting up one bit.

jwick07

TESTIFY BROTHER MOFO!!

The Steelers are going to win the Superbowl and here is how they will do it.

1. They can control the tempo of the game and the clock better than any team in the NFL. I was just amazed at how the clock seemed to just disipear when the Steelers have the ball.

2. What offense will you prepare to stop. The Ponnies and the Kitty Cats both had one of the best D's in the league but still could not stop the Steelers. WHY? Set up all week to stop the running game and the Steelers go the air, Set up all week to stop the passing game and the Steelers will grind it out on the ground.
The Kitty Cats had the best pass defense in the NFL with take aways and the Steelers still threw well.

3. When the game get physical the Steelers will hit back harder. On both sides of the ball the Steelers hit hard and harder. The defensive schemes that the Steelers run are hard to pick up the blitz on or read, and that is also helped out by the speed the linebackers have and Troy can cover more ground than anyone. The offense is able to make adjustments to their coverage to pick up the blitz and allow Big Ben to pick apart the secondary.

4. Bill Cower and the offensive coordinator are letting loose in Steeler terms, more creative play calling and that is keeping the opposing D's guessing. Cower has really shown great agressive play calling by going for it a few times when years before he would punt, also by passing more down the streach instead of three and out running plays.

5. Jerome Bettis. He want to go out on top and at his home town. This man has been a leader on and off the field for this team for 10 years now. The coaches, owners, players and fans love him and all want to get a ring for him and this is the year the Bus drives off with a ring.

Any offense can be stopped! Look at what Seattle did to Smith! The guy has been hot all year round and he plays a "D" that obviously knows what there doing and shot him down!!!!!!!!!!! 2 weeks ago the Bears had 2 backs on him and still couldn't control him. Seattle is very good on both sides of the ball! Your looking at the hawks being a joke and there far from that. There head coach is one of the best and he turn a Packer team into a SB champ, I'm pretty sure he can turn the hawks also!! Its not gonna be a easy game for either team....trust me:cool:

Who else do the Panthers have worth covering? After Nick Goings got a concussion, they didn't have anyone to worry about, so they kept about 4 guys on Smith.

who are we gonna have to put 4 defenders on again? nobody on the steelers is even worth 2 of our guys so we got it covered on the defensive side too.

you get what you pay for;) Read anything written about the previous ownership, its clear he didnt care about anything but making money, no matter where he took the team. He never wanted to spend any more money than what it took to make the team funtion. And the only good choice he made was to sell the team and leave town.( he was actually just about ran out of town)

MOFO, Im not just saying it to say it, I beleive it. So much in fact I put money on it.
Im pretty sure I read every post in the thread, and I don't recall any other Seahawk fan(not that I would call myself a hawk fan) using the phrase "'nuff said".
No Offense is unstopable, not even the steelers.
They dont have to be a better team than Denver or the colts( I dont recall ever saying they were better than any AFC tem), they just have to be better than the steelers, and only on one day, Febuary 5th.

Im just wondering what your stance is on the statement now.

You say whenever someone says "trust me" then they are ALWAYS lying. However, if I am lying, then you are admitting you don't know what you are talking about.

I am interested to hear your response.

Funny how this thread is just like every other thread on here, It you dont see it the way the MODS, and their little "click" see it then you opinion is wrong. No ifs, ands, or buts, about it. This thread is no different, if you don't think the steelers are going to win the game than your an idiot. What happened to the days when everyones opinion was just that, an opinion and not a reason to start a bash fest?

Jerome Bettis number36 This is going to be his last game if they win, and its in his home town. But check this out

When the Steelers left their hotel for Invesco Field the buses proceeded down Route 36 . The temperature display at a building along the way displayed.36 degrees. The Super Bowl will be played on the36 th day of the year.36

Not a problem. He is only used in the red zone. Usually only 2-5 yards for a touchdown.

At one point last season, he actually had about 2 yards rushing and 4-5 touchdowns. He is used for the final drive. Keep him healthy and strong. Willy will have the big yards if needed.
