400ex is a pain in the donkey

Just spent 50 on a manual timing chain adjuster. Starts and idles fine but does not do anything else. Just touch throttle and it shoots flame and dies. Jetting is fine. Im not sure if i have the camshaft on right though. When i turn the flywheel to the T on one of the TDC's it is perfectly lined up the other it is way off. Someone help

One mark on the cam gear is supposed to be up. The other 2 should be paralel with the head.

i got that the timing is dead on the lobes are down. i have no idea

i put a manual cam chain tensioner on my sport bike a while ago, and i had the same problem, and i found out $700 dollars later that it skipped a tooth, so they fixed that and re-jetted it, so definiatly check that option out, good uck

just toook it off and got it perfect god damn same thing. I have no idea what to do guys. This 400ex is gettin me Pisssssed
