ya i no i have a couple posts on problems with my engine i have no idea how to delete them and its been a while i've adjusted my exhaust valves at .004 instead of at .005 to try to stop the ticking noise but this did not help at all the noise did not ghet better or worse and i went riding last weekend it didn't ride to bad i toped it out a ocuple times you can feal ticking even when it is reved so the only thing i am think it could be is a lose timing chain or maybe its off how much would this cost to get fixed cuz i do not have a manul and i don't want to mess ne thing up

yeah money helps to do mods to your machine but small things work to change your sprocket set up will help and it only 40 to 50 bucks or so

the valve lash is set for clearence so when the engine is cold it will tick a lttle. after it warms up it should go away or get less noticable. because the heat of the engine is swelling the rockers and closing the gap you set. that is how it works. some engines need less clearence than others but be careful to tight , not enough clearence and the valves won't close all the way. i have a drag cam that calls for .005 and .006 i run them at .003 and .004 i have almost no ticking at startup adn none after the engine warms up.
