426 is the best IMO, power like a 440 but revs like a 416. great reliability along with the great power.

I agree 426 is the best bang for your buck. 465's are great but a little pricey $$$ to get them done

465's don't cost much more than doing a 440.

Only additional cost is getting the cases bored $20- $100 depending who you have do it.

And the pistons usually are around 150-200 since there custom built for someone by a piston manufacturer. (They usually have to order a minimum of 4 depending on the company)

I had less than $500 in my aluminum sleeve with it nickasiled, installed in the cylinder,and my 92mm piston.
