I just purshased an IMS 440 Big Bore Kit, with JE piston and everything. I was wondering what should I do to the carb, or do I have to buy an Electron carb. And how are these kits on improvement on bottom end and mid range? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Congrats on the 440 kit. You will need to rejet but a new carb would relly increase the power. I would get an FCR over the lectron. The boring should make a go through the gears faster but to get the full benefit u need a new carb, cams, port and polishing too. If u got a higher comp. piston then the whole powerange will be improved.

Its almost like this.... all that power you got from the 440kit ... well if you get a carb.... its gonna feel double:eek: :)

I also got the White Brothers cam and rev kit, but I guess I'm gonna save up for a new carb now

I just installed the FCR 39 carb today! It rocks... I can put the bike in 5th gear going about 30 mph and still accelerate at an impressive rate without shifting down. I keep trying to shift into 5th thinking I am in 4th....

Don't forget to get those rockers hardened with the cam. Otherwise you will be tearing it down again in a year or so. Believe me I know, I am going through it right now. :(
You are going to love that 440, big improvement all through the power range. When you do get a carb, it will be just like you installed the big bore all over again!
