I'm looking to get a pair of hanguards for the winter to protect from the cold air hitting my hands and numbing them to lifelessness. I also want them to be like yellow and black and a fairly good size that can also protect from rocks and other debris.

Powermads look really good, but I think they are made more for looks than protection. If you want something that will protect you and your levers from trees, rocks, or roll overs you should look into acerbis or cycras like the one's posted above.

If you don't get the extensions with the Powermadds, they are basically worthless.

Powermadds and Cycras seem to be the 2 most popular now days

When its really cold out and even the hand guards arent cutting it, try some of those moose handle bar covers. they basically strap to the handle bars and are like big socks for your hands to go into. They really keep your hands warm. They arent pretty though.

For the cold get Moose handguards. They are really big but they do a great job blocking the wind. They don't look to bad either. Not a very good pic but...

Powermadds are POS' unless they've changed them. I have a set of them with the side guards on them that came on my YFZ, kiss a tree with the bars during a tight XC race and you'll get some nice broken fingers. Acerbis rally brush like I had on my 416ex and 450R are bombproof in my experience. If you're just keeping wind and rocks off your ok, but hit anything serious and you'll be sorry. The Cycras with bark busters are supposed to be good also.

I had Cycras with bark busters on my yz426...I can't count how many times they saved my fingers...and levers. :muscle:
