Im wanting to relocate my battery up front on my 400ex underneath the plastics. Has anyone done this and have photos? I have stock plastics that are race cut. Im assuming you have to "false" the front lights and put the battery behind the light lenses, then get lazer lights that shoot out from under the plastics.

thanks

Ya show some pics of it up there or something. I was thinking of moving my battery to the front, but not up by the lights due to space, but I don't think I should have it so low for all the water.

HAHA

you guys are funny. the battery is up front underneath the lights - its a real tight fit and you have to re-wire a bunch of stuff. that IMS thing you circled is the box from my new pegs, and the box is in the background of the pic. that wire you circled is for the back light. You basically have to re-wire the bike to move the battery up front. I will say that when at dumont, the battery does help some to keep the front end down when coming off the line. I also had alot of people asking if I had put in a kick start. haha. Unfortunately I dont have any pics, but next time I take off my plastics I will take some pics for you but it probably wont be until next weekend. how you mount it up there is totally up to you. I used a pretty crazy method that used the least amount of space, and kind of protected the batter from vibration with some pieces of foam. Im gonna be polishing my oil tank and steering stem soon so I will take a pic of the battery when I have the plastics off.

later
