i think you should flip your front rims back to the way they were, unless you like alot of bumpsteer and bent tie rods.

tater_kamik

it looks weak and slow tom

jk! looks great! still cant touch my rappie though:blah: whats up with your other 250r rolling chassis?? and the 400ex?

slamdak8782
11-07-2005, 01:34 PM
Nope im not going to flip them over Beerock but i do have some jd racing plus 2 longtravel arms and quadrate elkas coming. As for new parts. Already there is a Rad tapered carrier. Antifade brake holder. Also burgards steering stem fly fatbar. acerbis guards. New stainless brake lines. Oh and I have a swingarm plate to put on it too. and plus 2 axle. It has a Rad valve lrd pipe and fmf silencer. Oh and Tate it is hideously slow. But it is still fast enough to have already eaten on a hrc450r. I think it said it wants some raptor for lunch too. This old girl is still hungry.

The 400 is back home i cant get rid of her. The other chassis is on ebay.

well its your decision, it will handle better the other way.

+2 with those rims like that your gonna have some fun when the bumpsteer rips the handle bars out of your hands.

im with bee (first for everything i know) i would take a stock width R over one with the wheels turned around any day. if u go +2 arms definatly turn the wheels the right way.

it doesnt stress the spindles, ball joints and tie rods as much. and the suspension works mroe efficient

11-07-2005, 02:48 PM
yeah, the bump steer is TERRIBLE like that, one trip through some deep rutted sand was more then enuf to make me a believer.

slamdak8782
11-07-2005, 05:02 PM
Well what I meant was the fix for that was turning the stuff around when the parts get here.:D Lol if I left it like that it would be like 52 inches wide :eek2:

you got longtravel coming?!? you suck! your getting a new rear shock too right? hmm, im thinking i can probably sell my shocks and a arms, and with about another 1500 get longtravel as well. you might make me do it! who had the hrc 450? or was that back in ohio? jared has a ton of parts coming for his shee, you two may have a 2 stroke competition going, but about the only dinner your gonna get from my raptor is you tasting my exhaust:blah: you need to get a dampener, hypers and some good tires, graphics, anti vib stem... you better keep me posted on what you have been getting for it, i will send you a vid of my raptor running to you tomorrow if i dont forget (you know me) big improvement on looks though, just needs a little more polishing and pc, and some plastics and it will be bad arse! bring the 400 back too, i always wanted to see if i can drive a quad across a lake:D

slamdak8782
11-09-2005, 05:21 PM
tate the antivib stem is on there the rims and tires are brand new off of a 450r dunlops they are real nice.
So far here is my list of new parts
1. lrd pipe 2.fmf silences 3. rad tapered carrier 4. antifade locknut 5. Fat bar 6. anti vibe 7.stainless lines allaround 8. rad valve 9. acerbis handguards 10. motion pro twist throttl that i cant find anywhere 11. brake block off 12. roll design footpegs 13.roll design shifter 14. custom pivot bolt 15. plus two axle that is it so far

beerock
11-09-2005, 05:27 PM
honestly, you might want to stay with a thumb throttle bro. I used a twist for 3 years, I almost crashed like 5 times and the 6th time i di crash, in 5th WOT over whoops. I took it off the next day and put my thumb throttle on it

coryatver
11-09-2005, 05:54 PM
twist throttles don't work to good on quads

slamdak8782
11-10-2005, 12:32 AM
I can't find it anyways. Ticks me off cause I bought it new and cant find it anywhere.

baker250r
11-10-2005, 01:48 PM
why did u go with the tapered carrier over the double roller? taper doesnt take to motocross as good as the double roller

slamdak8782
11-11-2005, 01:37 AM
Well I started this project about 2 years ago and i never reall thought abought the side load factor. So I thought tapered was the best however I know the truth know and I should have went with a twin row but what the heck I already got it and it looks real good so until it breaks it will remain there. Tapered is inherently stronger and actually could be a better setup but the swingarm would have to be designed different.

I am so pumped right now the 250r is about to be pimped. Here is my list for the day. This is better than christmas.
1. 19.5 elkas with LT
2. JD performance LTa-arms 3. rtc scoops and adjustable brake lever. This thread is about to get a lot better. !!!!!!
4. front motor mounts
5. coolant reservoir
6. billet brake reservoir covers
This has been my dream quad for 7 years.
3 MORE WEEKS AND IT IS ALL HERE

tater_kamik
11-12-2005, 01:19 PM
maybe, but remember, i still have an extra quad that is begging for an motor out of an gsxr 1000 :D man, i didnt even see the stem! im blind, and tired.:( they put us on 6 days on, 1 off, 12 hours plus. this sucks!!! you are getting some sweet parts!! i cant wait to go riding, what are you doing about the bore? dont be a b**** do the 290 or whatever it is, i read that other thread you did, sounded like the best all around answer for power, revving, and maintenence. i would do it! im probably gonna go dyno my quad ad my bike when i get back, you wanna throw that on there if i do it? also, you gonna get anything pc'd?

slamdak8782
11-12-2005, 03:24 PM
well the frame is pced black already I think im jusst goig to go stock bore sizes because
i talked to a guy over at rtc and he has had three of the big bore with the stock cylinders and he said they have a lot of trouble blowing head gaskets. Check this out I got a fully ported cylinder with all kinds of room for new bores 46$ shipped.
Dude they are retarded why would they do 6 on 1 offs freaking retarded thats why im out after my time runs up screw this man I hope everybody leaves. Then who will launch these pigs?

tater_kamik
11-12-2005, 03:34 PM
