I try to avoid the whole mud thing :)

Where I ride it's 90% sand, kind of like a pine barren type enviroment..

I just got my elka's 19" quadruple spring full blown racing shocks in. I am really impressed with the craftsmanship. I also got the full adjustable dual rate rear. I have to say they did their homework. Axis did not offer a dual rate 400ex rear shock, they may now, but they told me that their wasnt enough room on the shock to make it dual rate and put the rebound adjuster. Elka was able to put the adjuster in a place not to rob the shock of any travel. I am extremely impressed. I also got the very first set of +3 long travel 400ex Herrmannracing A arms, and I am EXTREMELY impressed with Brad's honesty, craftsmanship and service. I recommend the elka and herrmann set up to everyone.

its off topic but what is a parking brake block off?

it covers the rear brake on the side where that long wire on the side would come from. it can be commonly made from either billet alum etc.

if i were to get shocks i wouldnt want piggy-back cans the way i ride and as much and people have hit them and broke adjuster off and screwed up the shocks, i would think it would be better to get remote cans. yes the piggy-backs look better but i would feel safer with the remote cans...just my .02

don't you think the hoses would rip off alot easier. If you crash hard enough to rip off a piggy back canister you got bigger problems to worry about. I am definatly getting the piggy back elka's long travel quad rate Elites. the crf project will comence in a few weeks. seeing as im done for the season. (snapped my axle) I'll keep the site the progress posted

the hoses are alot more compact than the piggy back cans tho. yea you do have probs if you break the whole can off (looks nearly imposible) but im not talkin about the whole can im talkin about the compression adjuster (i think that is the one that is up there?)nob like some1 did on here i dont remember who it was tho... i vote for remote cans but thats just my oppenion...later...

I have never seen piggybacks break in the 15 years I have been racing. I have however seen quite a few hoses get broken.

jeff, there was some1(he had a yellow 400ex(well so do alot of people on here)) on here was in a wreck in the first lap like right after the start of the race and some1 hit him and bent the compression knob break off on piggybacks. he said that he saw that the knob was bent a little and went to turn it and it broke off and all the nitrogen came out of the shock so... no ive never personaly seen it but i have heard of it happening
