I was racing and my petcock messed up and starved my motor. I burnt my rings. I just put a new piston and rings in my 265r. I had it honed out also. Now I have no power. It idles fine but bogs down when I try to get on it. What to do.

clean your carb, maybe somethings clogged there... check compression since its so easy... that could tell you if your new piston/rings are workin! just shootin u some ideas

im with him on that, check the compression. Maybe it was out of round enough that you cant just hone it?

I've cleaned the carb and played with the jetting alittle. I put a little different piston in it. would it change the jetting alot. I put a wisco .80 prolite piston in it. I'll check the comperssion today. thanks

I've only got 75lbs of comperssion. I know thats low. What is the normal comperssion for a 265.

where is a good place to buy a 265 sleeve. I don't want to go any bigger unless I go to a 310. reliability factor. thanks

I don't think a 265 sleave is sold, you might be able to resleave it a 295 sleeve and not bore to 72mm, but 68mm. Or resleeve to a stock bore and bore it to 60 over, giving you 2 more bores, as the power difference isn't that big between a 60 over and 80 over, but the cost factor is, $150 vs $300-400.

can I bore my to a 295 and it still be reliable. Also what over is a 295.
