Was wondering how loud a hrc kit muffler is on the 06? Is it as loud as a new slip on or quite?

It's gonna be pretty loud if left uncapped, somewhere around 100-101 db. The HRC kit comes with a legal insert that brings it down closer to about 96-97db, not much but it'll help if you get db checked.

Do you think theres any benefit going to a slip on pipe? Weight or anything? The noise doesn`t bother me.

go to this website I think you will save more money and get way more power also the 450r stock mufflers are pretty nice

With the HRC insert in it's quiet...probly under 96dB. With the insert out (only spark arr in) it sounds about like a quiet slip on. With everything out (including sparky) it is extremely loud since you can see straight to the header. Unfortunately there are "mufflers" out there that are as loud as this is straight piped.
