you will prolly hafta up the jetting a lil bit, all depends on your airfilter, if your runnin and open lid or a hrc kit lid. you will just have to play with the jetting till you get it right

06 HRC's don't include a lid?

Im going to run a ehs outerware lid with the k&n filter system. Do you think a good slip on pipe will be better than the hrc muffler?

Just got my hrc kit on, and i had the 05 hrc lid on when i took it into the dealer. THey said "it will run better if you put your stock 06 lid back on... so i did.. it cuts out in the top... so i put the 05 lid back on and it absolutely rips!!! WHat do i have to do to run the stock air box lid with the hrc kit?

Jet way down. The HRC instructions say to remove the lid. So use your '05 lid or hack you '06 lid a bunch.

How about that EHS racing lid the one that has the lid cut out with the knn outerware?

There's 2 types of Mechanics; Book Mechanics and those that actually ride & race. Sounds like you found a book mechanic. Anyone with a brain cell could tell you that the 06 is way choked down from the factory on it's airbox. Take a look at the stock '06 filter size compared to the earlier one's and tell me that it doesn't want more air. Your question on the 06 lid was already answered, so I'm not gonna throw my $.02 at you.

No kidding, thanks for the info. I obviously new that it needed more air, but i was also wanting to know if other people with 06 hrc kit were able to run there lids.

And yes the 04 & 05 hrc lids do fit right on the 06.

I did try the HRC lid of the 04-05 and it does fit, it does come into contact with the 06 fillter though.
