use amsoil or klotz or any other high quality synthetic oil ( I use polaris synthetic in mine and it works great), mixed at 40:1 to 50:1. Don't go too rich, or you will actually lean your gas to air ratio and could seize the engine. Don't listen to people that says that you need 32:1 or more oil.

run whatever the previous owner did. changing oil ratio(or brand) may require rejetting. if it ran crisp just use what was always used in it.

it ran well but felt like it was to lean so im gunan run the 40:1 ratio with synthetic oil not sure which one..which one would u run klotz or amsoil?

klotz smells good but i run golden spectro personally. i've heard both good and bad about amsoil. premix is a touchy subject, VERY TOUCHY! if it was running lean it probably won't run long, do a plug check. you could also do whats called "cycling" or "2 cycling" but if it's lean it wouldn't be in your best interests so stick with a plug check.

ya, if its running lean dont change your oil mix change your jetting. i personally run super M @ 32 to 1, but i bought 2 dozen containers of it about 2-3 years ago and havent been through them all yet. once i get done i will probably switch to a amsoil @ 50 to 1 when i do my next topend.

whatever its jetted for. In my opinion, u get more power out of 32:1

I know people will argue that less oil means mre power... but i feel that more oil gives u better ring seal, and better compression.
Granted u will go thru more plugs than 50:1. but i have yet to fowl a plug in 2 months

run it at whatever ratio the previous owner did. if it's rich or lean then rejet. i know of people who have run 80:1 and people who do 20:1. i think some guys on www.everything2stroke.com did some testing and found that you can go to 8:1 before it starts cutting out from too much oil but you can get higher hp #'s due to more lubrication with a richer mix ratio. but experiment later, it obviously ran with the previous owner so mix it like he did!

Your airfilter has nothing to do with your plug reading lean... you need to jet your carb up, tell use your jetting and we can give you advise. alot of it is trial and error with jetting, but we can give you a ballpark figure to go off of.
