I recently bought a new factory body and decal set for my 86 250R restoration project. Does anyone have pictures of how the decals are placed on the rear fenders? I have a general idea, but would like to confirm what I'm thinking with some factory-placed originals.

I don't know where they go, but I'd like to know where you got those factory decals and for how much. I can't find them anywhere!

Thanks...

I asked the guy that reproduces the 88-89 style on Ebay to make the early style. He said if I had good originals, he could copy them. I traced them and sent him about 50 pictures and now they are for sale on Ebay. I don't know what the retail price is, I think they will sell for around $100 for the entire set. They aren't perfect factory reproductions, but are close enough for my dune machine.

I was lucky enough to get OEM Honda decals while they were still available. Here's some pics on placement.

Thanks, I knew how they looked originally, but just wanted to see the spacings. That pic from the front is perfect. My 250 is looking more like new everyday. I took it to a local flattrack race last night and drew a pretty good sized crowd. Most said they had never seen a "stock" 250R. I even got some very respectable offers to buy it. Then again, I'll just keep it...

That R still seems to blow me away every time i see it. I wish I had the space and money to do that. you did a real nice job man. someday I want to restore one.

I wouldn't wait too long, the parts to do a restoration at this level are getting nearly impossible to find.
