I'm 17 and I have a full out MX 250R. I didn't race much this year due to a broken bone, but I plan on racing the entire season next year. Here's the deal. I'm selling my 250, but I've found myself in a predicament; what next? I think I'm decided on either a YFZ or a Z400. If I get the Z, I will have the extra money to get shocks, a-arms, and an axle. If I get the YFZ, I will probably have to run it stock for a while.

If it helps any, I'd consider myslef a talented B rider. I defintly ride my shiet hard, so I don't know if stock YFZ will hold up over the course of a full race season. Please give me some advice...

maybe you should look on the used ATV link here and trade your 250r for the 450R or the yammie I bet you could find several people out there wanting a 250R that will trade a well built 450r and a little cash

no offense to the suzuki but i would NEVER pick a slightly modded z400 over any stock 450

450r would be the best choice

Whats wrong with the 250r? I say you should just put a 265PV top end on it, and a better pipe, and a carb if you don't already have one. And mabey new stuff to freshen it up like berrings, and seals, gromets, etc.

I can't seem to find someone that wants to trade on here. Either they're too far away, or they're still paying and want to trade without the title. :(

I'm still wondering whats wrong with your 250r, some more motor mods, and you have a machine that can hold it's own against any 450.

FontMaster, I'm still wondering why you can't get over anyone getting rid of a 250. Every other post you make is trying to get people to stay on a 2-stroke. I want a thumper, thats the point. Have you taken a look around at Nat'ls recently? The 4-strokes are evolving into high-horsepower, good handling, motocross machines. I want a thumper, thats it.

Hey man I was just wondering thats all, Yes I've seen the nationals, I was at unadilla this year for both the gnc and gncc, and I do know that a well built 250r will kill the 4 strokes. You want a 4 stoke, that cool you could have just said that, I just like 2 strokes better.

the 450's are the latest and greatest , 250's are a thing of the past and its hard to maintain one and run it with a BUILT 450 everyweekend
